Privacy Policy
Five Tools Baseball is a youth baseball program run by Eric Horn in Los Angeles, CA. This policy explains what information we collect about players and families, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers this website, 5toolsbaseball.com, and our game video program, the Film Room. We also film games for the NELA Pirates Little League team with the league's approval; those clips are handled the same way and kept separate from Five Tools clips.
What we collect
• Contact details from families, through our forms, email or phone: parent name, email, phone number.
• Player details from player intake forms: name, jersey number, position, bats/throws, graduation year, photo.
• Game video from cameras we set up at games, cut into clips.
• Game results from GameChanger scorebooks: at-bat results, pitches, stats.
• Website visits: our website host keeps basic visit logs. We add no tracking of our own.
We do not collect payment card numbers on this website, and we do not sell any information.
How we use it, and who sees game video
We use this information to run the program: to contact families, keep rosters, and help players improve. We cut each game into clips of every player's at-bats, pitching and good plays.
• Families see only their own child's clips, in a private Google Drive folder shared with them.
• Coaches see every player's clips for their team, to coach and track development.
• A clip with several of our players goes to each of those families.
• Players on the other team appear in the background of our video. We never name them, keep files about them, or send clips to anyone about them.
We use software, including AI tools, to help find and cut clips. A person on our staff reviews every clip before it goes to a family.
Filming is part of playing on the team
We film whole games, so we can't leave one player out of the recording. Agreeing to game filming is a condition of joining a Five Tools team.
Public posting and your choices
We may share highlights publicly on our website, Instagram and YouTube. Families can opt out at any time. Public posts use a player's first name and jersey number only, never contact details.
You can ask us at any time to:
• stop making clips of your child for your family folder,
• take down any public post your child appears in,
• delete the clips we have made of your child and their player information. The full game recordings are kept as a record of the team's games.
Contact us (below) and we will act within 14 days.
Google account data used by the Film Room
The Film Room is our own tool for organizing clips. It signs in to the club's Google account, the one that owns our Film Room folders, and only that account. It accesses Google Drive and Google Sheets in that account to create folder shortcuts and an index spreadsheet so coaches can find clips. It does not share, move or delete files. It never reads or accesses any family's or coach's own Google account, never sells or shares Google data, and never uses it for advertising or to train AI models.
The Film Room's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Where it's kept and for how long
Original game recordings are stored on a drive kept by our staff. Clips and the information above are stored in the club's Google Drive and on staff computers. Only staff who run the program can get to them. We keep recordings and clips until the player leaves the program, plus one year, then delete them, unless a family asks us to delete them sooner.
Children
Our players are children. We collect their information from and with their parents or guardians, not from the children directly, and we use it only to run the program.
